Today's special topic is as mentioned above.
Let's all look at what it is all about.
The first railway passenger train in India marked a historic milestone in the country’s modern transportation system. On April 16, 1853, the very first passenger train ran between Bori Bunder (Mumbai) and Thane, covering a distance of about 34 kilometers. The train was hauled by three locomotives—Sahib, Sindh, and Sultan—and carried around 400 passengers in 14 coaches. This event symbolized the dawn of a new era, connecting people across distances faster than ever before and laying the foundation for one of the world’s largest railway networks. More than just a technological achievement, the journey of this first train became a symbol of progress, revolutionizing trade, travel, and communication in India.
