Mind Matters: Managing Stress for Better Learning and Education

16th September 2026
Good day, creative people.
Today's special topic is as mentioned above.
Let's all look at what it is all about.
Education is the cornerstone for improving personal and professional development for students.
However, amidst the quest for academic excellence and career success, we overlook the state of mind of the learner and educator. It is important to recognize the role of the mind through which we acquire and impart education. If it is not in optimal condition, the effectiveness of learning and the ability to retain and apply knowledge is compromised.
Ironically, mind management isn't taught in schools. Students' relentless pursuit of goals in the competitive environment leads to stress, undermining their learning capacity and exam performance. This overlooked issue is a critical concern in education.
Our ancient scriptures have emphasized on the significance of 'dhruti' (intellect) and 'smriti' (memory). A stressed mind can hinder the development of intellect and impair memory, leading to a superficial understanding of subjects and a shallow retention power.
Addressing stress is not a matter of indulging in idle conjecture; it is a well-documented concern supported by clinical trials and conclusive evidence from scientists, psychiatrists, and psychologists. The symptoms of stress are manifold, ranging from physical ailments like headaches, digestive issues, and rapid heartbeat to emotional manifestations such as irritability, moodiness, and a pervasive sense of loneliness.
