Good Day Creative People

Today's special topic is as mentioned above.

Let's all look at what it is all about.

It was about 230 years ago. This beautiful palace was built by Dhanyakudiya landlord Mahendranath Gayen. At that time his bricklayer business was booming. Basically his dealings were with the British. And in that situation, the East India Company's gentlemen kept on visiting North 24 India in these marginal areas every day. Mahendranath built this palace on the model of European forts to inspire his unique culture and tradition.

Standing on an area of 30 acres, this royal palace has a beautiful lady in it, in which the reflection of the royal palace sparkles throughout the day. There is a huge garden at the center of the entire fort. You will be astounded when you enter the fort. Furniture made from Italian glass ranges from a variety of Victorian porcelain.

Which is mesmerizing in one word. British ladies often used to come to this palace during summer and spend their holidays. There was a separate bathroom and guest house for them. Even at that time, Martin Company built a separate railway station for this palace.

A small narrow gauge steam train stopped at a station named Gayen Garden. However, that station does not exist at present. The government took it over in 2008. Government home for orphan girls was established. But even though some parts of the original house have been rebuilt, this historic architecture as a whole is in ruins due to lack of maintenance. One of the two white stone lion statues in front of the house was stolen long ago.

A few years ago, another lion was sold at a high price. Answers of Mahendranath. But not only the colonial history, shooting of many popular films including 'Satyanveshi', 'Saheb-Babi-Gholam', 'Sooriyatpa' has also been done in this house. Uttamkumar himself has acted. Even various foreign films have been shot in this fort.
